I am still in shock that we are in April already! The weather here certainly thinks it’s still January. That being said, the trees are beginning to bud, the early spring blossoms are poking their heads out to greet us and the dormant grass grass is transforming to a beautiful green before our eyes. I love this time of year, it is a time of new beginnings.

This is a hot topic lately. While I agree that kids need more freedom to play and be independent, it’s sad that our society has made this so much harder. I think back to my childhood and we were a lot more independent than most kids now, and our parents generation was even more so. When did it become so much different?
