Math, it’s beginning to be a favorite subject in our home, but there are always ways to make it a bit more exciting. Especially with the memorization of facts. We are in the midst of learning multiplication, so the opportunity to review Times Alive from Times Tables the Fun Way was a great fit for our curriculum.
Times Alive is comprised of a lesson for each fact, with each of the lessons being broken down into multiple parts. Each lesson contains a video, a song and activities. Some lessons also include a quiz or two, as well. Making a nice variation to each set of lessons.
After you’ve watched the video you can watch and listen to the song portion of the lesson. The song is a music video which restates the fact they’ve learned with a catchy tune. This was a fun addition that my kids enjoyed as well.
The next step in the lesson is an activity or game. Each lesson ends with an activity which includes an interactive element. This was my kids favorite part. They liked the interactivity of the lesson and I felt that it was a good way for them to get a bit more practice with their lessons.
I would recommend Times Alive from Times Tables the Fun Way for anyone who thinks a bit of extra practice with their multiplication facts or if you just want to change things up a bit. Times Alive is a great way to supplement your math program with catchy and fun videos, songs and activities. And with a monthly subscription, you can use it as long as you need.
