We are always looking for a fun way to remember our math facts. I have never been a fan of boring memorization of facts, however, I realize that in math it makes things much easier later in your studies. The Trigger Memory Co has made memorizing math facts much easier, memorable, and fun with their multiplication series, Times Tales.
At the mention of watching a video for math, she was smiling and excited. From there the excitement continued to grow. Everyday she was asking to do her Times Tales videos.
Since beginning the videos, her comprehension of multiplication and recall of facts has been much quicker. It’s been a lot of fun watching her feel more confident in math and see the connection begin in her head.
We used the downloadable videos which include everything from the DVD (Part 1 and Part 2) in a quick and easy download. Plus all the worksheets are downloadable as well. Quick, easy and with no waiting for shipping, yes please!
Times Tales covers the following multiplication facts – 3x6,3×7,3×8,3×9,4×6,4×7,4×8,4×9,6×6,6×7,6×8,6×9,7×7,7×8,7×9,8×8,8×9,9×9 – in a fun memorable way! The upper multiplication facts are the most difficult so it seems fitting that the videos focused on the harder facts.
The short stories and cute number characters are inviting for the kids and help make the memorization stick. Sunshine was telling me all about the stories and recalling the facts after watching the video just a few times.
She has really enjoyed the videos, the worksheets and even the practice tests. The memorable characters have left an impression on her and she enjoyed seeing them carried through the printable items as well.
I loved that she was having fun learning, and was remembering what she learned as well.
Sometimes downloads are intimidating, we’ve downloaded a few that have been very difficult to work with. That was definitely not the case with Times Tales. Everything was easy to download and use.
I am so glad we had the opportunity to review Times Tales. It has been a great addition to our homeschool math and I cannot wait to see how quickly Mister Man figures out his multiplication facts! I would definitely recommend it to all early elementary students. It takes scary memorization and makes it into a fun experience that the kids will really enjoy. And they are learning so much with the videos as well.
Pair that great learning video with the worksheets, games and practice tests and you have a wonderful way to learn multiplication.
