I have taken a bit of a break from my Back to the Classics Challenge to read a few great mothering books.
I’m a sucker for books written about parenting, but motherhood is my favorite. I love that I can completely relate (most of the time) and that they have me laughing and crying throughout. There is something special about the bond of motherhood.
We are book lovers around here. There is not a room in our house that does not have a book in it… literally, even the bathrooms. Adding books to our collection is a constant thing. Which is why I was excited that we were given the opportunity to review the book I’d Rather Be Your Mommy by Home School Adventure Co..
Back to the Classics Challenge 2017
Book with a Number in the Title – 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne, was recommended by my husband. It is on our Ambleside Online schedule for year 5 as well, so it was both a free read for me and a preread in preparation for the kids.
As a Catholic family, it’s important to us that we have good resources for our children that highlight our faith. There are many Catholic books out there, but these are a few of our favorites right now.
Since having kids, reading has been one of the many things I wish I had more time to do in my day-to-day. This past year, I happened upon the Back to the Classics Challenge on Books and Chocolate. Because it was too late to try and be a part of the action in 2016, I decided the next year, 2017, would be my year to start the challenge.
