Knowing that I was soon going to be a language teacher to my two young kiddos, I was very interested in reading Gabriel Wyner’s Fluent Forever. I have seen the many foreign language teaching programs and have started to research them all, but I had yet to find one I was sold on.
Fluent Forever made me start thinking about language in a completely different way. He breaks the learning process into segments. Each dimension of language learning is presented in detail with examples and research. He then continues into why and how they each work. There are many strategies to try and a lot of information to absorb. The combination of all of the strategies is intended to make you remember and become fluent quickly. His strategies are quick and fun which will hopefully help in the language learning hurdle.
I would recommend Fluent Forever to anyone looking into learning a new language. I think it in addition to other language books and possibly programs would be a great way to learn and remember a foreign language. I will definitely be using his advice when we begin our language studies next year.
