Over the past month, I have spent a lot of time planning for Lent for the kiddos and myself. Here are a few of the resources we will be using this year.
Lent Resources For the Kiddos
Lent countdown from Pondered in my Heart. I am so excited for this beautiful countdown. I love that it has the additional feast days added to the calendar as well as the normal countdown and the illustrations are exquisite.
Daily Reflections and Prayers for Lent from Teach Mama. I printed these off and laminated them to place in the prayer area.
Stations of the Cross Cards from Family Feast and Feria. I printed these cards out a few years ago, laminated them and have been pulling them out each year. The kids love looking through them and reflecting on Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
Alleluia to hide. This year, like in the previous years, we are coloring an Alleluia and hiding it to find on Easter.

Lent Resources For Mom
Blessed is She Devotional is one of my favorite resources for myself. I have done this devotional journal for multiple years now and am as excited about it each year.
Our church passed out the book Resisting Happiness and I am looking forward to the daily readings and digging a bit deeper into how to truly be happy.
I decided I wanted to read an extra devotional and I chose Journey to Easter – Spiritual Reflections for the Lenten Season by Pope Benedict XVI.
I am looking forward to the season ahead and hoping to have a spiritual and deep Lent this year for the kids and I.
